We have an amazing opportunity for a Finance Operations Controller to join the Shangri-La family, reporting to the Finance Manager. We are looking for a commercially-focused manager to lead an Accounts Payable function of two direct reports, support F&B Management with food and beverage reporting, manage the stock count procedure, shine a light on the performance of Purchasing, and provide commercial support to the wider Shangri-La business operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- The control of aged creditor accounts to build lasting supplier relationships
- Provision of operational analysis to support senior management decision-making
- Reconciliation of inventory holdings and costs of sales reporting
- Provision of expert on premise system support to Adaco users throughout the business
The Finance Ops Controller is a key leadership role in the Finance team and provides important business partnering support to the Purchasing, F&B, and wider operational teams. The role would suit an ambitious and motivated individual with a strong background in food and beverage cost control, a genuine interest in luxury hospitality and travel, and commitment to developing a career in core finance.
The role provides full involvement in preparation of month end management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L reviews, and variance analysis, as well as supporting the Finance Manager with preparation of annual budgets, forecasting, and ad hoc projects. Study support towards a relevant accounting qualification may be provided on successful completion of the probation period.
