The Role: Strong Marketplace performance starts long before a supplier goes live. It is shaped by onboarding quality—how clearly expectations are set, how smoothly compliance is handled, and how confidently suppliers are prepared to trade. This role owns that critical phase and makes it work better for everyone involved. We’re looking for a Supplier Onboarding Manager to own how new sellers join our Marketplace and to make that experience faster, clearer, and genuinely better for suppliers and internal teams who rely on a smooth handover to keep things moving. If you enjoy turning complexity into something that actually works, you’ll feel very at home here.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing:
- You’ll own the end-to-end onboarding journey for new Marketplace suppliers—from the moment the deal is done to the moment they’re live and trading.
- Guide suppliers through documentation, compliance checks, platform setup, and operational readiness.
- Be the main point of contact for new vendors, answering questions, spotting issues early, and keeping momentum.
- Build and maintain clear onboarding materials so suppliers know what’s expected and when.
- Work with Legal, Finance, Tech, Commercial, and Operations to ensure contracts are right, data is clean, and nothing important is missed.
- Where the process creaks, help fix it—streamlining steps, removing friction, and pushing for automation where it makes sense.
Impact Milestones:
- Suppliers launch faster and with fewer issues.
- Time-to-launch goes down, without compromising compliance.
- Fewer post-launch problems.
- Onboarding feedback improves from suppliers and colleagues.
- Data and reporting tell a story we can act on.
The Person:
- Experience in supplier onboarding, partner operations, marketplace operations, or similar cross-functional roles.
- Understanding of how e-commerce or marketplaces work in practice.
- Detail-oriented, process-minded, able to juggle multiple onboarding streams.
- Comfortable collaborating with Legal, Tech, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams, and able to ask the necessary questions.
- Clear communicator, able to keep things moving, and use data to spot opportunities for improvement.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and committed to getting things done properly.
- If you like building solid foundations that let others scale, this role will suit you well.
What’s in it for you:
- Competitive salary — numbers discussed early.
- Bonus — 10% (Band 5).
- 25 days of holiday plus 8 Bank holidays.
- 25% staff discount across our range plus free online delivery.
- Pension contributions.
- Free wellness diagnostic tests.
- Exclusive discounts on wellness services, gym memberships, and more.
- Perks from other retailers.
- A culture of wellbeing with mental health support and menopause coaching.
