A leading independent prep school in Buckinghamshire (close to the Berkshire and West London borders) is seeking an engaging and passionate Scientist to teach Science. This is a full-time role from September 2026. There is accommodation with this role. Pupils are described as self-confident and generous in spirit at this thriving and outstanding prep school. The school wants to ensure they transition to their next school as young adults ready to take on the world! To achieve this, pupils are given numerous opportunities to grow their self-confidence and explore their interests. Children are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and are provided with an extensive extracurricular programme in order for them to find and develop unique talents and interests.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Science from Year 5 up to Year 8, including Common Entrance and Scholarship level.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and engage with students to inspire enthusiasm for Science.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Experience teaching Science at either primary or secondary level and the ability to convey enthusiasm for science to high-level primary pupils.
- Willingness to undergo safeguarding screening including references and an enhanced DBS check.
