Shaneel Group is a fast-growing company in the perfume and cosmetics industry. Brands we operate include GHOST, ARIANA GRANDE, JENNIFER LOPEZ, CERRUTI, PLAYBOY, AIGNER, PORSCHE DESIGN, and many more.
This is a full-time position, located in Watford, UK. This role requires 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home.
This is an exciting opportunity for a legal administrator wanting a more varied diet of administrative and legal support work or a junior Paralegal looking to gain in-house experience with a focus on Intellectual Property. Experienced administrators keen to move into a legal environment are also welcome to apply. The role supports our Senior IP Consultant and the broader legal team, reporting to both the Senior IP Consultant and the Senior Commercial Counsel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting Senior IP Counsel in the following areas:
- Trademark portfolio monitoring and reporting on objections and progress of applications
- Reporting trademark renewal recommendations
- Trademark register searches and trademark use checks
- Company name trademark information searches
- Drafting witness statements
- Drafting forms for filing at trademark offices
- Reviewing trademark watch notices
- Checking and instructing anti-counterfeit activities
- Liaising with external IP counsel to maintain our trademark portfolio
- Arranging payment of invoices and official fees at the trademark office/s
- Other general intellectual property support matters which may arise from time to time.
- Supporting the Senior Commercial Counsel and the commercial legal team in the following areas:
- Drafting and amending Non Disclosure Agreements
- Compiling annexures and supporting documents
- Drafting Statements of Work to include in supplier agreements
- Inserting information into and adapting a variety of template agreements
- Electronic and manual filing of documents
- Maintenance and review of legal archive
- Checking supplier invoices, raising purchase order numbers for suppliers, checking quotes against invoices, and liaising with the accounts team
- Printing and scanning
- Arranging courier and postage of documents
- Arranging notarization, legalization, and super-legalization of documents through agents and foreign consulates
- Other administrative tasks to support the legal team from time to time
- Legal research.
Requirements
Qualifications/ Experience - A legal qualification (eg LLB/Legal Practice Certificate/equivalent from abroad).
