Position Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the standards of cleanliness are met; they assign tasks, inspect work to ensure it is up to standard, and provide training on how to best handle customers' requests.

Essential Job Functions

  • Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
  • Inspect all assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
  • Provide efficient and objective feedback to room attendants to drive efficiency and quality within the housekeeping department.
  • Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms including nametags and designated PPE.
  • Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards consistently; identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and handle them appropriately.
  • Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
  • Perform all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
  • Verify and update the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
  • Perform opening and closing shift duties.
  • Notify maintenance department of necessary repairs.
  • Monitor cleanliness of hotel parking lot and exterior entrances.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
