Position Overview
As a Restaurant Server, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to guests’ needs in a courteous and efficient manner.
Essential Job Functions
- Greeting guests: Welcome guests to the restaurant in a friendly manner and escort them to tables.
- Menu knowledge: Understand the menu offerings, specials, promotions, and be able to provide recommendations.
- Order taking: Take food and beverage orders accurately, note dietary restrictions, and communicate to the kitchen.
- Serving: Serve food and beverages in a timely, professional manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards.
- Upselling: Use suggestive selling techniques to promote additional menu items, specials, or beverages.
- Table maintenance: Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas during service.
- Guest interaction: Address questions or concerns, ensuring guests’ needs are met throughout their experience.
- Billing and payment: Present bills, process payments accurately, and handle cash/credit card transactions following procedures.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen, bartenders, and other team members for smooth operations.
