Celebrating Shakespeare is at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking to recruit Visitor Services Assistants to work at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Shakespeare’s Birthplace.
The contract is from Monday 3 November 2025 to Sunday 15 March 2026. There are three types of part-time fixed term contracts available, 23, 17.25 and 11.5 hours per week, which equates to 4, 3 and 2 days.
As Visitor Services Assistant you will provide consistently high standards of visitor care at all times, from the moment of arrival through the entrance, exhibition, garden and house, to the final point of departure, ensuring every visitor has a safe and enjoyable experience.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working in a public or visitor facing role, agile and flexible to what is required, committed to providing excellent customer service, IT literate and able to confidently operate till and ticketing systems, and used to working as part of a team.
Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Shakespeare’s Birthplace will be open seven days a week 10.00am to 4.00pm, and you will be required to work weekdays, alternate weekends and a fair share of Bank Holidays so you should be flexible and available. There will also be a requirement to work out of hours events.
