Celebrating Shakespeare is at the heart of everything we do. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is currently looking for a Catering & Events Supervisor to join the Commercial Team in The Garden Café at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage. This is a 16 hours per week part-time permanent contract, shifts are 9.00am to 5.30pm and you will work between Monday and Sunday including alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

  • The role will take a supervisory responsibility for the Cafe team as well as carrying out the preparation and service of food and drink for internal and external events.
  • All aspects of catering duties including compliance will be involved, ensuring yourself and the team take all opportunities to maximise sales.

Qualifications

  • To be successful in this role you will have experience of supervising a customer facing team and delivering a range of events.
  • You will be committed to providing exceptional customer service, have excellent interpersonal skills, be confident liaising with various departments, and be able to negotiate with our internal and external customers.
  • You will be reliable, flexible to work at peak times and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
