We are a friendly, busy GP practice in Rotherham looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, motivated salaried GP to join our team. You will work from our main surgery which is based in Eastwood but occasionally, you may be asked to work from our branch surgery at Ridgeway. This is an exciting opportunity for a GP seeking a positive working environment and a chance to make a genuine difference within our patient population. We are looking for a strong team player who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and someone who can contribute to the ongoing development of our practice and wider multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

This post is for a salaried GP to work and cover 3 sessions per week. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient facing role to clinically assess, diagnose and treat patients. To work efficiently and calmly under pressure to ensure the patient receives the care they need. Providing clinics either F2F or via telephone and be part of the shared online triaging system using Accurx and SystmOne supporting same-day clinical demand. Work efficiently to process doctors admin workload such as tasks, letters, pathology results etc. Attend monthly clinical meetings along with other clinicians based at the practice.

Shakespeare Road Health Centre is a friendly, successful, supportive practice. Our team is made up of 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, ANP, Practice Nurse, Nurse Associates. PCN roles including First Contact Physiotherapist, Mental Health Practitioner and Social Prescribers. We are part of Wentworth 1 PCN which comprises of 7 practices working closely with local partners and multidisciplinary teams to improve services. We are a training practice, supporting GP Registrars delivering care to approximately 5,800 patients. Achieving high QOF points. We are rated Good by the CQC, reflecting our commitment to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will work within a modern Triage system using Accurx and SystmOne, delivering consultations through a mix of F2F, telephone and online appointments. All GPs contribute to a shared Triage rota, supporting same-day clinical demand and ensuring safe, responsive patient care across the practice.
