Overview

The Managed Legal Services (MLS) team is growing rapidly and we have opportunities for enthusiastic and driven Paralegals. The primary focus of this role is supporting client secondment placements, including Company Secretarial tasks, with opportunities to support in other MLS practice areas as needed. This role offers hands-on work from day one and a chance to gain broad experience to develop your legal career. The role requires high attention to detail and the ability to summarise technical information into concise notes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting and maintaining corporate governance materials
  • Companies House filings
  • Due diligence requests and AML checks
  • Research relevant laws and regulations
  • Changes to company structures
  • Taking minutes for Board meetings with a highly technical focus
  • Assisting the Chair to ensure meetings run smoothly
  • Performing regular updates to client documents
  • Quality assurance tasks
  • Maintaining ongoing client relationships
  • Working efficiently across internal and external MLS clients
  • Support other teams within Managed Legal Services based on capacity

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Company Secretarial role is preferred, but not essential
  • Client-facing/secondment experience
  • Strong relationship management skills and confidence in dealing with clients and senior colleagues
  • Strong IT skills and accurate typing ability
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and initiative with excellent organisational and prioritising skills; ability to adapt and manage priorities at short notice
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Enthusiasm, drive, commitment and a strong team player
