Join Shakespeare Martineau as a motivated and detail‑driven Paralegal to support our Real Estate Finance team, focusing specifically on Islamic Finance.
The Role
You will work with Islamic finance institutions that provide Sharia‑compliant home purchase and buy‑to‑let facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own caseload with a high level of autonomy
- Reviewing title and supporting legal documentation
- Drafting enquiries, correspondence and completion documentation
- Preparing reports and undertaking legal research where required
- Managing all aspects of the completion process
- Liaising professionally with clients, banks and other solicitors
- Proactively progressing matters and resolving issues as they arise
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fee‑earning role, ideally within residential conveyancing or real estate finance
- Technical understanding of the residential conveyancing process
- Experience handling a high‑volume caseload in a fast‑paced legal environment
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and commercially aware
- Proactive team player with drive, enthusiasm and commitment
