Our Agriculture Team in Stratford-upon-Avon is looking for a Legal Assistant to provide vital administrative support.

The role involves:

  • Supporting the fee earners in the team in relation to both client facing and management roles
  • Providing timely and effective support to requests for assistance on client work from members of the team
  • Developing your understanding of client work so as to be able to assist more effectively
  • Accurate production of correspondence and documentation including through the use of digital dictation
  • Attending to clients in person and on the phone taking messages and assisting where appropriate
  • Use of a case management system to process and progress files
  • Managing the central team in relation to file opening, closure and archiving
  • Producing bills and other financial administration
  • Managing diaries for the team, planning and organising meetings and making travel arrangements
  • Organising and maintaining departmental filing systems and document storage
  • Photocopying, scanning, faxing, printing, filing and other general administrative tasks

What you will need:

  • At least 12 months’ experience in a busy administrative or organisational role
  • GCSE (or equivalent) grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics
  • Confident use of IT systems, including Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel (PowerPoint beneficial)
  • Fast, accurate typing skills and strong attention to detail

  • Confident interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise openly and clearly with colleagues and clients
  • To be able to produce a high standard of work, often to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and good attention to detail

  • To be able to demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, initiative and self-confidence
