Our Managed Legal Services team has built a flexible legal resource model that can provide an extension to clients’ legal, audit or information governance teams. We work with our clients on either a temporary or a regular basis. The team comprises of paralegals, solicitors, project managers and legal technologists who support clients with a range of business needs across an array of practice areas.
The opportunity:
Our Managed Legal Services team is growing rapidly and as a result we have a number of new roles for enthusiastic and driven paralegals. This role’s primary focus will be in regulatory and compliance. Additionally, there will be opportunities to provide support in other areas within the Managed Legal Services team as and when needed.

You will support a busy team in delivering crisis focussed solutions for regulatory clients. This will entail exposure to a wide range of legal disciplines.
On a day-to-day basis, your work will be varied and challenging. This is an opportunity to work as part of a large team both in the office and out on site. This role would suit someone with a tenacious and resilient approach to problem solving, who enjoys and works well in a fast-paced environment. You will have exposure to hands-on work from day one and will play a key role in a thriving team who provide a high-quality service at all times.
Please note - Although hybrid this role will be based in one of our hubs in Birmingham (preferable) or London.
What you will be doing:
- Managing written and oral communication with third parties
- Managing reporting obligations to include updating clients
- Drafting documents including pleadings, training materials and client reports
- Using persuasive language to negotiate preferable outcomes for clients
- Proofreading to ensure consistency across documents
- Analysing documents and summarising key legal principles
- Reviewing and analysing legal entitlement to documentation
- Applying key legal principles to an agreed course of action
What you will need:
- A minimum of 6 months’ previous experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in a regulatory and compliance role is desirable
- Previous experience using a case management system
- Strong IT skills and accurate typing ability
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A high degree of flexibility and initiative along with excellent organisational and prioritising skills; the ability to adapt and manage priorities at short notice is essential
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels
- Strong business and commercial acumen is desirable
- Enthusiasm, drive and commitment and to be a strong team player
