We are hiring for a part-time, in-person, hourly seasonal (May-October) position with a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Greet groups of visitors and launch a video orientation.
- Present information about Shaker history, community, and religion to Museum visitors.
- Interpret the Enfield Shaker site.
- Treat all visitors with respect, dignity, and kindness.
- Perform and adhere to opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in Museum Gift Shop when necessary.
- Assist with light-duty housekeeping tasks when necessary.
- Other duties as requested by the supervising staff.
Must be able to work some weekends between May and October.
Physical demands:
- Ability to stand or walk for more than 30 minutes without sitting down.
- Ability to go up and down stairs multiple times a day.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; college students are invited to apply.
- Interest in museum studies, public history, or historic preservation is desirable.
