Could You Be the Support Worker We’re Looking For? We are recruiting Female Bank Enabling Support Workers to join our Complex Care Service in Newcastle. Due to the specific requirements of this role, applications can only be accepted from female candidates who hold a full UK driving licence with no endorsements. Please note this role does not qualify for visa sponsorship, as the salary requirements set by the Home Office are not satisfied.

About the Role:

  • Following individual support plans and taking direction from the person you support
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and life experiences
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with service requirements
  • Supporting with personal care and the administration of medication when required
  • Building positive and professional relationships with families and professionals

You’ll be providing 2:1 support to a young man with complex care needs, helping him live an active and fulfilling life.

Who You’ll Be Supporting:

The person you’ll support has a great sense of character and enjoys Mr Benn, Harry Potter, Game shows, Thomas the Tank Engine, Abba Music, Elvis, and Disney Movies and Music. We’re looking for someone with a good sense of humour, an outgoing and fun personality, and the creativity to think outside the box. You’ll be proactive in creating meaningful life experiences — from day trips further afield using his car to providing support on holidays.

Experience supporting someone with a PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) plan is essential.

What You’ll Need:

  • A full UK driving licence with no endorsements
  • Previous experience in complex care and PBS
  • Confidence working 2:1
  • Flexibility to cover sleep‑in shifts
  • £60 paid per sleep‑in
