Overview
Reporting to the Studio Operations Manager, the Studio Runner is key to the day-to-day running of the studio and is necessary for meeting client expectations. The Studio Runner is responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy, well-presented site, providing general support to studio operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics and assisting production teams, facilities staff, and office personnel. This is a customer-facing role where attention to detail is crucial when carrying out daily tasks such as facility/room setup and grounds clearance. The Studio Runner is essential in supporting productions, equipment management, and operational workflows.
Job Responsibilities - What You'll Do
- Monitor and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the studio site.
- Litter pick, clean, sweep and de-weed all roads and pathways, car parks, external lighting and signage.
- Responsible for the furnishing of all Studio facilities in line with customer expectations.
- Customer liaison/support.
- Stage, gantry and workshop cleaning.
- Responsibility for the distribution of door/parking signs.
- Checking of studio facilities before and after use by production.
- Assist in the moving of tenant or production companies and any other duties deemed appropriate by line management.
- Reporting and removal of fly tipping and scrap items left on the studio lot.
- Carring out ad hoc gardening tasks as required.
- Snow and ice clearance/gritting when required.
- Monitoring, transporting and emptying of bins.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down production spaces, ensuring all areas are clean and ready for use and checking the facilities before a production moves in.
- Support studio staff by delivering documents and other materials between departments.
- Maintain organisation and cleanliness in all studio spaces, including common areas and storage rooms.
- Help track and restock studio supplies, ensuring necessary materials are always available.
- Cleaning furniture/cupboards/appliances etc.
- Collect rubbish from Facilities when appropriate as per customer or studio management request.
Administration
- Co-ordination and maintenance and security reporting i.e., insecurity of buildings, damage and skip removal and maintaining of Studio Assets.
- Logging jobs and completing field service reports on PDA using in-house loc8 system.
- Phone/office cover - give out basic site information and answer queries as required or offer alternative help.
- Assisting in producing Studio passes in conjunction with the Security team.
Vehicles
- Maintain, clean and report any issues with electric vehicles.
Qualifications - What You'll Bring
Required
- 0-2 years of experience in a studio, production, or operations support role.
- Always provide first-class customer service.
- Must hold a full driving licence.
Desirable
- Commercial industry experience and knowledge of sector.
- Excellent ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Strong team player and orientation towards teamwork.
