Shadow Foam Ltd is a rapidly growing online e-commerce brand, selling its uniquely designed material in a wide array of colours, sizes and profiles both domestically and internationally. Our unique grade of customisable foam is used across a wide spectrum of industries, from engineering to construction, photography to beauty. Shadow Foam is mainly used to organise tools, but its applications are endless. Our core value is organisation, the heart of Shadow Foam is getting people and businesses organised so they can protect their equipment from loss and damage.
We have supplied our products to numerous high-profile customers: Bentley, British Airways, Red Bull F1 Racing Team, Airbus, Astra Zeneca, and have a large social media following built around our thriving and active YouTube channel presented by the MD, Jonathan.
The Role — Business Development Manager
In line with the continued growth of our business, we are creating a new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to drive new commercial growth across the UK and international markets. This is a proactive, outward-facing role focused on identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities, including B2B, re-seller and wholesale partnerships. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to negotiation and closing, administrating and delivering the ensuing sales, playing a key role in expanding Shadow Foam's presence across multiple industries and countries. This is a full-time, office-based role at our Winsford HQ.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors (UK and international)
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers, resellers and distributors
- Proactively generate leads through outreach, research and creative prospecting methods
- Engage decision-makers and convert opportunities into long-term commercial relationships
- Manage the full sales cycle, including qualification, proposal, negotiation and closing
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer needs
- Occasionally represent the business at trade events, exhibitions and client meetings as required
- Continuously test and refine outreach and sales strategies to improve conversion and growth
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years experience in a business development, sales or a commercial role
- Proven ability to generate new business and build a sales pipeline
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
- Highly self-motivated, proactive and target-driven
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Commercially aware, with the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
- Creative thinker who is willing to test new approaches and challenge traditional methods
