- What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with Project Managers and Site Teams to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company standards.
- Provide practical advice, coaching and support on safe work practices.
- Assist with incident investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve our WHSE systems and processes.
- Deliver engaging toolbox talks and safety communications.
- Support project teams in achieving outstanding health, safety and environmental outcomes.
- Learn from experienced WHS professionals while developing your technical knowledge and practical skills.
About You
We're open to hearing from experienced WHS professionals as well as motivated candidates looking to establish or further their career in workplace health and safety.
- You'll Ideally Bring
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or be currently studying towards it).
- Previous WHS experience in civil construction or a similar high‑risk industry, or relevant site‑based experience with a genuine interest in transitioning into WHS.
- A sound understanding of WHS legislation or a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Current driver's licence and the ability to travel between project sites across Ipswich and Toowoomba.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to promoting safe work practices.
