BlueDot Cares is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Senior Care Advisor to establish and grow referral partnerships throughout the Chapel Hill and Durham market while helping families navigate important senior care decisions. This is a field-based sales role responsible for developing relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, hospice providers, home health agencies, senior living partners, and other healthcare referral sources. The Senior Care Advisor will also work directly with families to assess care needs, educate them on available services, and guide them through the decision-making process. The ideal candidate is a proactive business development professional who enjoys building relationships, generating referrals, conducting consultative assessments, and closing new business. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, persistence, empathy, and the ability to build a territory from the ground up.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, hospice providers, home health agencies, and other healthcare partners.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits with referral sources throughout the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans to generate qualified referrals and new business opportunities.
  • Educate referral partners on BlueDot Cares' services, programs, and care solutions.
  • Respond promptly to referral inquiries and maintain ongoing communication with referral partners.
  • Conduct consultations and care assessments with prospective clients and families.
  • Guide families through care options and recommend appropriate in-home care solutions.
  • Support families through the decision-making process and convert referrals into active clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of referral activity, prospect interactions, and sales pipeline within company systems.
  • Track territory performance, referral activity, and business development metrics.
  • Represent BlueDot Cares at networking events, healthcare events, and community functions.
  • Collaborate with operations and care teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business growth and organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, outside sales, healthcare sales, senior care sales, or a related client-facing role.
  • Proven experience building relationships and generating business through referral partnerships.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing a sales territory and maintaining a structured sales pipeline.
  • Ability to conduct consultative conversations and confidently ask for business.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory on a daily basis.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and follow-up activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in home care, home health, hospice, senior living, memory care, assisted living, healthcare business development, or related industries.
  • Experience working with healthcare referral sources such as hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, skilled nursing facilities, and senior living communities.
  • Experience conducting in-home assessments or family consultations.
  • Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and senior care services.
  • Background in territory development or building a market from the ground up.
  • Strong local network within the Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh, or broader Triangle healthcare community.
  • Experience in commission-driven sales environments with measurable sales success.

Work Environment / Schedule

This is a field-based position requiring extensive travel throughout the Chapel Hill, Durham, and surrounding Triangle market. The role requires regular in-person meetings with referral sources, healthcare providers, community partners, and prospective clients. Daily activities may include visiting hospitals, physician offices, senior living communities, skilled nursing facilities, and client residences. Candidates should expect to spend the majority of their workweek in the field developing relationships and generating referrals. Flexible scheduling may be required to accommodate client consultations, networking opportunities, and business development activities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $55,000 annually
  • Uncapped Commission Structure
  • Expected On-Target Earnings (OTE): $85,000-$120,000+ annually
