Our client, a leading Developer & GC in the UK, is looking to add to their strategic management team in the form of a Senior Project Manager, who will be fully accountable for Student Accommodation & Residential projects throughout London & South East.
Due to recent projects won, a large recruitment drive is now in place, and the right individual will have the opportunity to work for a company that offers fantastic career progression, with fast track promotions for the right individual. You are expected to have worked as a PM or Development Manager within Student Accommodation & Residential projects, and also be experienced in liaising with Contractors (IN-HOUSE would be beneficial), Subs, Clients, Consultants, and Architects.
Responsibilities:
- Support and direct allocated staff as necessary for the resolution of complex/high-risk issues.
- Represent our client in principal meetings as necessary.
- Validate reports submitted by or prepared by allocated staff.
- Provide strategic oversight of the performance of schemes managed by allocated staff.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures, particularly risk management and commercial/contractual aspects in relation to the work of allocated staff/teams.
- Manage and lead colleagues, validating their work including accuracy of reporting, content of scope of services, management of accounts, and contract issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Civil engineering/project management/QS related degree or equivalent (non-cognate degrees will be considered) OR appropriate professional experience and/or qualifications.
- Familiarity and confidence with the design and construction process, including project programming and commercial reporting.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Appropriate construction/development experience on a range of schemes, with exposure to line or team management responsibilities.
