The Investment Operations Coordinator role sits within the Investment Operations department, who are responsible for providing extensive back office support to the investment management activities of the business.
This comprises full responsibility of trade life cycle functions post trade-execution with strict adherence to rigorous regulatory oversight.
Key Responsibilities
The Investment Operations Coordinator role blends a mixture of highly prescriptive daily tasks (which require adherence to defined standards and timeframes) with a more autonomous approach to project work which is assigned and contributes towards individual’s objectives.
- Post-trade support, including trade booking and CREST matching oversight.
- Settlement of multi-asset trades, ensuring compliance with payment cut‑off times.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly client money and custody reconciliations in line with CASS requirements, with prompt investigation of exceptions.
- Timely FCA transaction reporting and monthly reconciliation of submissions.
- Processing stock and cash corporate actions, including dividends and interest payments.
- Production and distribution of regulatory client reports, including valuations, tax reports, and cost & charges statements.
- Processing ad hoc client withdrawals and cash movements with third‑party providers.
- Maintenance of regular client payment schedules agreed with advisers.
- Payment of client tax liabilities to HMRC and settlement of related internal tax service charges.
- Maintenance of market, pricing, and security static data.
- Annual ISA subscription processing to maximise client tax efficiency.
- Setup and maintenance of portfolio and account structures in line with client mandates and investment instructions.
- Periodic review of segregated cash balances and standing data to support effective investment management controls.
- Production and distribution of monthly portfolio valuations to mutual providers.
- Processing in-specie transfers in and out.
- Supporting business change initiatives and project delivery as required.

Person specification
- A willingness to achieve the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) issued by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), requiring study outside working hours
- Knowledge and experience
