As a Housing Business Administrator Apprentice, you will support the maintenance of the Council’s Housing Register, provide high-quality administrative and customer service support, and contribute to homelessness prevention outcomes.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands‑on experience.

What you will do at work:

  • Work alongside experienced staff to experience the functions of various roles within the Housing Team.
  • Act as a first point of contact for customers, colleagues, and partners; handle enquiries sensitively across telephone, email, and face‑to‑face channels.
  • Provide administrative support to managers and the team, including minute‑taking for key meetings.
  • Liaise with customers and agencies; identify special circumstances and make appropriate referrals to access specialist advice or support services.

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills. Training provider: South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.
