Working Hours & Shift Pattern: Average 42 hours per week on a 5-week rolling rota (2 days on, 3 days off).

Sleep-ins Required as part of the rota (night payments included within salary).
Service: Children’s Residential Home.
Service Users: Children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, mental health needs, learning disabilities, autistic behaviours, child sexual exploitation risks, and complex safeguarding needs.
Qualifications Required:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Applicants without this qualification may be supported to complete it.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within children’s residential care within the last 5 years, including at least 1 year supervising or managing staff within a care setting.
- Strong Ofsted knowledge required.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be confident in leading shifts, supporting staff performance, maintaining compliance, and deputising for the Registered Manager when required.
Key Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
- Minimum 2 years’ recent children’s residential care experience.
- Minimum 1 year supervising or managing staff.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, CSE and behaviour management.
- Emotional resilience and confidence managing challenging behaviours.
- Strong leadership, communication and report writing skills.
- Driving licence preferred.
- Flexible approach to rota working and on-call responsibilities.
