Location: Hartlepool

Salary: £24,454.04 (37 hours equivalent)

Working Hour: Rota-based (early & late shifts, weekends, sleep-ins)

Pay Per Sleep: £40 per sleep-in (any time woken is paid in addition)

Service: Children’s Home

Service Users: YPs – trauma, neglect, emotional needs, challenging behaviour (may include physical aggression at times)

Qualifications Required: None required (training provided)

  • The Oaks (4-bed): busier, more active, caring for younger children
  • The Elms (2-bed): calmer, supporting older children with independence skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the physical and emotional care of children and young people
  • Promote education, health, wellbeing, identity and positive outcomes
  • Follow care plans, behaviour management and risk plans
  • Maintain accurate records in line with policy and good practice
  • Work in partnership with families, colleagues and external professionals
  • Support safe recreation and community activities
  • Contribute to a safe, nurturing home environment

Driving Requirement (Essential): Full UK Driving Licence is essential. Staff must use their own car for work purposes and hold business insurance.

  • Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home will not be considered.
