Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager who can lead from the front, maintain compliance, and develop a confident, values-led team. You’ll be comfortable balancing operational leadership with quality assurance, safeguarding, and stakeholder management.
Essential Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Significant experience within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home (EBD)
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and confident understanding of the SCCIF and Children’s Homes Regulations
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and retain staff
- Full UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities
- Overall operational management of the home, ensuring safe, high-quality care at all times
- Leading, supervising, and developing the staff team through induction, supervisions, appraisals and CPD
- Maintaining compliance with legislation, Quality Standards, policies and procedures
- Overseeing admissions, care planning, risk management and quality assurance
- Managing relationships with placing authorities, professionals and Ofsted
- Driving continuous improvement and preparing the home for inspections
Package and Benefits
- 32 days annual leave including bank holidays (increases by 1 day each year for the first 3 years)
- On-call included within salary (rarely required and shared with the Deputy Manager depending on home needs)
- Ofsted bonus: £3,000 for Outstanding and £1,500 for Good
- Occupancy bonus: £400 per month for full occupancy
- Company car or travel allowance of £3,000 per annum
