Provision: Solo Children's Residential Home (EBD, staffed 2:1)
Shifts: 2 on / 4 off pattern – includes sleep‐ins
Hourly Rate: £14.20 – £14.70 (DOE) + £65 per sleep‐in + £20 per on‐call (Fri/Sat/Sun)
Typical Shifts per Month: 10 to 11 shifts
Take‐Home Estimate: Approx. £30,500 Base and £8580 Sleeps = £39,080
Status: New Home Opening – Ofsted registration expected end of August

About the Home: A brand‐new solo provision located in Preston (PR2), providing specialist care for one young person with EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties). The service is designed for high support needs and will be staffed 2:1 at all times. The home is set to open following the Registered Manager's successful Ofsted registration, anticipated by the end of August.
What We're Looking For: We are looking to recruit 2 experienced Senior Residential Care Practitioners who are confident, compassionate and committed to providing high‐quality therapeutic care in a 2:1 setting.
- You must have:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Level 4 Diploma – Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or be enrolled on either of these Diplomas
- Full UK Driving Licence
- You will also need:
- Minimum of 1 year working in residential childcare
- Experience supporting young people with complex needs
- A calm, resilient approach and a passion for safeguarding children
