Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

About the Role
Are you an experienced Deputy Manager or Registered Manager with a passion for creating safe, nurturing, and high-performing children’s homes? This is a brilliant opportunity to lead a children’s residential home and shape the care and outcomes for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in Oldham. You’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, lead a dedicated team, and ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards. You will be supported by a growing, child-focused organisation with exciting expansion plans across the North.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and therapeutic care approaches
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to create a warm, nurturing, and structured environment for young people
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)

Key Responsibilities
- Register with Ofsted and ensure full compliance with all regulations and standards
- Lead and manage all aspects of the home’s operation – staffing, rota, audits, budgets
- Create and maintain a positive, child-centred culture
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Support, develop, and supervise your team to maintain high standards of care
- Promote the home in the local community and build strong relationships with professionals
