Location: Oldham, OL3

Salary: £16 per hour & £70 per sleep

Shifts: 48-hour shifts + occasional 24-hour shifts (rota confirmed 6 months in advance)

Sleep-ins: 8–10 per month (essential)

On-call duties: Required

Driver: Yes, essential

Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 1 year in a Children’s Residential setting

Monthly hours: 165

  • About the Role

    As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in transforming lives. You’ll:

    • Deliver consistent, one-to-one therapeutic care to children aged 5–17
    • Support children in daily routines, education, and social activities — from appointments to UK trips and holidays abroad
    • Be a positive role model, providing stability, safety, and emotional support
    • Help create a nurturing environment where children feel heard and valued
    • Maintain accurate records in line with care plans
    • Work collaboratively with a close-knit team and experienced manager
    • Be resilient through the highs and lows — and always ready to put the child first

    What We’re Looking For

    • At least 1 year’s experience in a children’s residential care setting
    • Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in Residential Childcare
    • A full UK driving licence
    • Passion, empathy, and a strong sense of purpose
    • Commitment to building a career in therapeutic care — with support to gain your Level 5 Diploma and progress into management
