Who we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager or aspiring Registered Manager who is looking to step into a progressive role with clear development into registration. This is a strong opportunity for someone confident in leadership, capable of deputising in a Manager’s absence, and motivated to be part of setting up a new service.

The successful candidate will initially be based within an established 2-bed home, supporting the day-to-day running and deputising for a dual-registered Manager. You will play a key role in maintaining standards, supporting staff, and ensuring consistent, high-quality care delivery. You will then transition into leading your own 2-bed learning disability home following Ofsted registration, with full support throughout the process.

The role will involve:

  • Deputising significantly in the Manager’s absence across a dual-registered setup
  • Supporting day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and care delivery
  • Contributing to the setup and mobilisation of a new children’s home
  • Working collaboratively with the Responsible Individual and Operations Director
  • Supporting Ofsted registration (SC1), with most documentation already prepared
  • Participating in a mix of shifts, including office hours and weekends
  • Providing operational cover where required, including occasional sleep-ins

Progression & Opportunity:

This role is structured with clear progression into Registered Manager, including:

  • Salary increase from £38,000 to £50,000 upon registration
  • KPI-based bonus structure once registered
  • Full support through the Ofsted registration process
  • Long-term progression into dual registration or regional roles

Who you will be working for:

Established provider with this being their fourth home. Strong operational infrastructure with proven systems and processes. Experienced senior leadership team offering hands-on support. Focus on quality, compliance, and sustainable growth.

Why this opportunity stands out:

  • Clear and supported pathway into Registered Manager
  • Minimal administrative burden for registration (documents largely complete)
  • Opportunity to be involved in launching and shaping a new service
  • Stable existing provision to learn from before stepping into your own home
  • Strong leadership support and structured onboarding
