Children and Young People aged 8–18 years with complex needs, learning difficulties, mental health needs, and associated behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
Qualifications Required
- Level 3/4 in Children's Residential Care or Children's Workforce (essential)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred). If not already achieved, you must enrol within six months of starting.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within children's residential care.
- At least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role within the last 5 years.
- Strong understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
- Full UK driving licence.

Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
You will be responsible for leading all aspects of the home's operation, ensuring high‑quality care, regulatory compliance and positive outcomes for every child.
The successful candidate will be able to
- Develop and oversee high‑quality, individualised care plans.
- Build, lead and develop a stable, motivated staff team.
- Maintain high standards in line with The Quality Standards and the home's Statement of Purpose.
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals and external agencies.
- Manage safeguarding concerns, complaints and child protection matters effectively.
- Lead care planning, reviews and key worker systems.
- Manage the home's budgets and commercial performance.
- Drive continuous improvement with the expectation of achieving at least a Good Ofsted judgement, with Outstanding as the long‑term goal.
