Pay & Hours – Transparent Breakdown

  • Hourly Rate: £15.00
  • Base Salary: £29,259 per year
  • Sleep-ins: 10 per month at £60 each (£7,200 per year)
  • Attendance Bonus: £100/month (~£1,200 per year)
  • Overtime Pay: 1.3x hourly rate (when available)
  • On-Target Earnings: ~£37,659/year (base + sleep‑ins + bonus)
  • Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off with regular sleep‑ins

About the Home

What You’ll Do

  • Lead shifts and role model best practice in a small, experienced team
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare of children at all times
  • Oversee care planning, key working, and behaviour support
  • Coordinate routines, activities, and outings that build confidence and independence
  • Keep high-quality records aligned with legislation and Ofsted standards
  • Mentor colleagues and support inductions/training
  • Liaise with families, social workers, and multi‑agency partners

What You’ll Bring

  • Essential: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent or working towards)
  • Experience as a Residential Support Worker or Senior RSW
  • Strong safeguarding awareness, resilience, and a calm, child‑focused approach

Note: Level 3 Health & Social Care is not an accepted equivalent for this role.
