Pay & Hours – Transparent Breakdown
- Hourly Rate: £15.00
- Base Salary: £29,259 per year
- Sleep-ins: 10 per month at £60 each (£7,200 per year)
- Attendance Bonus: £100/month (~£1,200 per year)
- Overtime Pay: 1.3x hourly rate (when available)
- On-Target Earnings: ~£37,659/year (base + sleep‑ins + bonus)
- Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off with regular sleep‑ins

What You’ll Do
- Lead shifts and role model best practice in a small, experienced team
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare of children at all times
- Oversee care planning, key working, and behaviour support
- Coordinate routines, activities, and outings that build confidence and independence
- Keep high-quality records aligned with legislation and Ofsted standards
- Mentor colleagues and support inductions/training
- Liaise with families, social workers, and multi‑agency partners
What You’ll Bring
- Essential: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent or working towards)
- Experience as a Residential Support Worker or Senior RSW
- Strong safeguarding awareness, resilience, and a calm, child‑focused approach
Note: Level 3 Health & Social Care is not an accepted equivalent for this role.
