Experience in Years Required: Experience within a children’s residential setting required

The Home:

  • Number of Beds: Solo bed (1:1 or 2:1 staffing) OR Two-bed home (2:1 staffing)
  • Type of YPs: EBD, SEMH, challenging behaviour
  • Ratio of staff to children: High staffing ratios (1:1 or 2:1)

  • Has strong knowledge of statutory requirements and Children’s Homes Regulations
  • Can lead shifts, guide staff, and support young people with emotional and behavioural needs
  • Demonstrates strong safeguarding experience
  • Can confidently manage behaviours using PACE and Team Teach
  • Holds strong communication, behaviour management, and administrative skills
  • Is flexible to work shifts, weekends, evenings and sleep-ins
  • Is a positive role model and able to motivate a team
