Your Role

  • Provide high-quality, consistent care and support to children aged 7 to 17.
  • Work closely with your team to create a nurturing, safe, and structured environment.
  • Support young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Promote positive routines, independence, and emotional well-being.
  • Be a positive role model and help young people thrive.

Shift Pattern & Salary

  • Hours: 8am – 8pm shifts.
  • Contract Options: 36, 40 or 48 hours per week.
  • Sleep-ins: 8–10 per month (as per rota).
  • Hourly Rate: £14.50.
  • Sleep-in Rate: £52 per night.
  • Overtime and additional shifts available.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised Level 3 qualification).
  • Experience working in residential childcare or a related field.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Minimum age: 21 (in line with Ofsted requirements).

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting children with complex emotional needs.
  • A calm, consistent, and nurturing approach.
