Job Title: Children’s Home Dual Registered Manager

📍 Location: Barnsley

💷 Salary: £54,000 per annum + bonuses (OTE up to £70,800)

Working Hour: 39 hours per week | Monday–Friday 9am–5pm (on-call rota required)

💰 Hourly Rate: N/A – salaried role

🛏️ Number of Sleeps Required: As required to cover shortfalls

💷 Pay Per Sleep: Included within salary / on-call arrangements

🏡 Service: Children’s Home

👥 Service Users: YPs | EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Needs)

🎓 Qualifications Required:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
    📆 Experience in Years Required:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years in residential childcare
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
    📄 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

  • Ratio of staff to children: Established staffing teams in place

Who we are looking for… 🌱

An experienced and motivated Dual Registered Manager to oversee two children’s residential homes. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, ensuring high-quality care, compliance, and positive outcomes for young people.

You will:

  • Lead and manage both homes in line with legislation, regulations, and Statements of Purpose
  • Promote safeguarding, child protection, and young people’s rights
  • Lead, supervise, and develop staff teams
  • Ensure high standards of care aligned with Ofsted requirements
  • Manage admissions and discharges
  • Oversee care planning to meet physical, emotional, psychological, and social needs
  • Prepare for and attend inspections, audits, and meetings
  • Undertake on-call duties on a rota basis
  • Write and oversee concise, evaluative reports
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the homes
