As an Asbestos Consultant at SGS, you will carry out consultancy and surveying activities across a variety of client sites, ensuring asbestos risks are identified, assessed and managed safely and compliantly. You’ll operate across a mix of environments — from industrial locations, commercial premises and domestic properties — delivering high-quality surveys and reports that clients rely on to stay compliant and safe.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct asbestos surveys and safely sample suspect materials in line with industry standards.
- Accurately record findings and produce clear, compliant reports.
- Assess asbestos risks and provide practical advice on management or removal.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Support quality assurance activities, audits and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- BOHS P402 (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor.
- Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation, regulations and best practice.
- Excellent attention to detail and reporting skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Full driving licence to use in the UK and willingness to travel.
