Our Client, Boccard, a global industrial turnkey constructor specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of innovative industrial plants across various sectors (Oil & Gas, nuclear, FMCG, pharma etc) are currently looking for a Project Quality Manager experienced in the Nuclear for a 6 months contract to start with the possibility to be extended / become a permanent employee.

This hybrid role will be based at Bristol and Deeside.

You’ll work 3 days per week in the office, specifically Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, rest of the week from home.

The location will alternate between Bristol and Deeside each week.

The Project Quality Manager is responsible in assisting the Senior Project Quality Manager in defining quality standards for the delivery of the piping supports project, ensuring quality assurance measures to guarantee those standards are met.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Developing, review and maintain project processes for the successful implementation and completion of the piping support project initially.
  • Promoting a Right First-Time attitude and ensuring final quality of the delivery.
  • Develop, embed and maintain Nuclear Safety Culture behaviours.
  • Provide assurance that manufacturing and construction processes are efficient and up-to-date.
  • Be the main point of contact on all defined Project Quality aspects.
  • Ensure that the delivery centre applies the defined procedures for the project.
  • Manage the quality assurance of manufacturing activities including the required NDT and dimensional checks, and its associated records.
  • Monitor the performance status of projects through relevant indicators - Safety First-On time-On spec-On Budget-Customer satisfaction.
  • Understands and exceeds customer (internal or external) needs and expectations.
  • Responsible for communicating with the Client on quality matters.
  • Provides feedback to the Project team and leaders on concerns regarding Quality.
  • Analyseand resolve process quality issues and needs as they relate to process performance and quality requirements.
  • Manages data related to KPI's and identify opportunities for improvement / Preparing performance reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Travel to suppliers toensure quality and process capacities are met.
  • Become familiar with company policies and train the team to follow guidelines.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the role.

  • KPI’s against successful inspection against the specifications and standards

Essential

  • Extensive work experience in a manufacturing or construction environment implementing quality programs
  • Track record of implementing Lean Manufacturing methodologies and Continuous Improvement
  • Knowledgeable of ISO 9001, ISO 19443 Standards
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills based on facts
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Pack Office (especially Excel)
  • Valid driving licence
