Looking for a role where you can be at the heart of the lab and keep everything running smoothly?
We’re looking for a Lab Stores Technician to join our team in Ellesmere Port. This is a great opportunity for someone organised, proactive, and happy working in a fast‑paced environment supporting laboratory operations.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing the receipt, booking in, and storage of laboratory samples and equipment
- Ensuring items are tracked accurately and are easy to locate when needed
- Supporting the lab by retrieving samples quickly and efficiently
- Carrying out stock checks and ordering consumables to maintain supply levels
- Liaising with internal teams and customers regarding deliveries and queries
- Supporting the safe dispatch of samples, including those under Dangerous Goods regulations
- Disposing of petrochemicalproducts once testing is complete
- Helping maintain high standards across quality, safety, and service delivery
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You might currently work in a warehouse, stores, production, manufacturing, logistics, retail, or customer service environment and be looking for a new challenge.
You'll be successful in this role if you:
- Enjoy working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Can manage multiple tasks and priorities at the same time
- Are comfortable using IT systems and Microsoft Office
- Communicate confidently with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
- Work well as part of a team and are happy to support others
- Hold a full UK driving licence
If you're organised, enjoy practical work, and have experience managing stock, materials, deliveries, or inventory in a warehouse, production, retail, or similar environment, we'd love to hear from you. Full training will be provided.
