  • Hours : 40 hours per week, covering early mornings, days, evenings and nights. This will be on a 7 week rotating cycle

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chemist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in our operations, performing critical laboratory testing to support the oil and gas industry. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and specialised testing on oil, gas, and related products in accordance with industry standards.
  • Interpret and validate test results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to support testing activities.
  • Collaborate with the wider laboratory team to ensure smooth operations and meet tight deadlines.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all testing activities.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous laboratory experience, preferably within the oil and gas sector, is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work on a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
  • Driving license for use in the UK.
