We are seeking accountable, experienced, and positive Residential Home Managers who:

  • Lead small children's homes with purpose and compassion
  • Manage staff, care planning, safeguarding, communication, reporting, and compliance
  • Ensure policies and procedures are fully implemented and effective
  • Develop constructive working relationships within the wider community to improve outcomes for children
  • Ensure staff have the right skills, experience, and qualifications to provide continuity of care
  • Manage the home in an aspirational and inspiring way for children and staff

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent, or willingness to work towards
  • Minimum 2 years working with children (last 5 years), including at least 1 year in a senior/management role
  • Supervision or management experience in a residential children's home
  • Experience working with children, young people, and families
  • Knowledge of inter-agency work
  • Familiarity with children's care planning, risk assessment, and review processes
  • Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and the impact of abuse or neglect
  • Knowledge of education, health, social, emotional, and psychological needs of looked-after children
