Our client is looking for a Project Quality Manager (PQM) with a strong EC&I background. The role involves defining and developing strategies and plans to ensure compliance with established Codes, Standards, Regulations, Policies, Procedures, and Contractual Requirements. The goal is to ensure quality requirements are met by promoting a quality culture throughout the project. This is a 6-month contract starting ASAP in Rochester (ME3 0AB), PAYE only.
Primary Functions
- Understand contract and subcontractor contract requirements
- Prepare and maintain the Project Quality Plan and QA/QC procedures
- Coordinate with engineering for review and approval of inspection and test plans
- Ensure QA/QC resources are sufficient for all activities
- Conduct and document Project Quality Training
- Implement QA/QC induction, awareness, and communication programs
- Ensure staff adherence to HSE requirements
- Act as the focal point for quality issues and resolutions
- Advise the project team on QA/QC matters
- Monitor and manage procedure implementation and compliance
- Oversee contractor QA/QC performance through surveillance and inspections
- Review key project deliverables for quality compliance
- Participate in subcontracting and procurement to ensure quality standards
- Review subcontractor/supplier quality documentation
- Manage on-site QC inspection and testing activities
- Maintain project quality documentation and records
- Attend project meetings and contribute to project management
- Monitor compliance with quality objectives, codes, standards, and policies
- Coordinate QA audits and follow up on corrective actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality management, preferably in the Petrochemical Industry
