We're looking for an experienced NGS Team Leader to lead and grow our expanding sequencing laboratory as we launch innovative new biosafety testing services. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on scientific expertise with leadership, helping shape a cutting-edge laboratory supporting some of the world's most advanced medicines.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead day-to-day delivery of NGS testing services, ensuring quality, efficiency, and turnaround targets are achieved.
- Drive GMP compliance, quality systems, audits, investigations, CAPAs, and risk management activities.
- Oversee laboratory operations, equipment, facilities, and laboratory readiness.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of NGS workflows and processes.
- Develop, train, and mentor a high-performing team of scientists and laboratory staff.
What we're looking for:
- Degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
- Significant experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) in a regulated environment (GMP, GLP, GCLP, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of sequencing workflows, sample preparation, library construction, and data interpretation.
- Proven leadership experience managing laboratory teams, operations, and quality systems.
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
