Job Type: Permanent
Location: UK, Remote – Regular travel to Europe will be required for this role, and occasional travel will be required to the Glasgow site
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday‑Friday
Salary: Competitive salary, including a 20% sales bonus

Responsibilities
- Growing and developing business across pharmaceutical, biotech and life sciences accounts
- Identifying and securing new opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships
- Developing and executing a territory sales plan to achieve ambitious revenue targets
- Building strong relationships with decision‑makers and key stakeholders
- Collaborating with technical and operational teams to deliver tailored client solutions
- Managing opportunities through Salesforce CRM and maintaining accurate forecasts
- Representing SGS at customer meetings, industry events and conferences
- Travelling across your territory in Europe (approximately 50%) to strengthen client partnerships and drive growth
Qualifications
- Proven sales success within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, laboratory or wider life sciences sector is essential
- Educated to degree level in a relevant scientific discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent industry experience and knowledge
- A natural relationship builder with excellent influencing, networking and negotiation skills
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and delivering against challenging revenue targets
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems
- Knowledge of virology, biosafety, GLP, GMP or biopharmaceutical testing would be advantageous
