Job Description
Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: West and East Midlands
Hours: Monday - Friday 39 hours per week
This is a hands-on, field-based technical role supporting the delivery of gas testing and analysis services across the Midlands, with occasional travel across the UK.
You will take ownership of projects from start to finish, combining practical site work with technical expertise to deliver safe, accurate, and high-quality results in line with SGS standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out on-site gas testing and analysis, ensuring accurate results and timely reporting
- Work across laboratory and cleanroom environments, completing documentation and recording data to a high standard
- Prepare, maintain, and operate testing equipment and analytical instruments in line with SOPs
- Support end-to-end project delivery, from initial setup through to completion
- Build strong relationships with customers and ensure all work meets SGS quality, safety, and operational standards
Qualifications
Essential
Relevant engineering or technical qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable
Additional technical certifications or safety passport
