As an Electrical Product Safety Engineer, you will deliver high-quality safety testing on a wide range of electrical products, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements. You’ll support both laboratory and on-site activities while contributing to technical expertise and business growth within the team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accreditation and delivering trusted, client-focused services.

  • Conduct electrical product safety testing in the laboratory and on client sites, ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards.
  • Prepare accurate test reports and certification documentation in line with accreditation and quality requirements.
  • Manage workload effectively to meet project timelines, budgets, and departmental targets.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of test equipment to ensure ongoing compliance with quality systems.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and adherence to company policies, including Code of Integrity and EDI guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Safety Engineer or in a similar role within a relevant industry, with recent experience in the use of test and measuring equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscope).
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Alternative HNC/HND in electrical engineering with relevant work experience.
  • Full Driving Licence for use in the UK.
  • First Aid Certificate.
