Job Description
We are looking to recruit an eDNA Business Development Manager who will be responsible for leading sales and marketing activities, identifying and engaging customers, securing commitments from, and generating new profitable revenues within the Environmental DNA (eDNA) sector. This is a new and exciting revenue focussed, business development / sales role.
Key responsibilities:
- Market Research and Analysis: Conducting thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, understand industry trends, and analyse competitor activities.
- Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing business development strategies that align with the company\’s revenue growth goals and market objectives.
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Driving sales efforts, negotiating contracts, and closing deals to meet or exceed individual and company-wide budgeted revenue targets.
- Networking: Engaging in strategic networking by attending industry events, conferences, and other relevant gatherings to expand the company\’s reach and influence. To work collaboratively with colleagues promoting SGS services, across businesses and service.
Qualifications
The Environmental DNA (eDNA) sector is a new market, so the ideal candidate will have either an in-depth understanding of the market or a similar transferrable market sector. A strong sales focus with a drive to succeed in identifying and securing new business is essential. You will also have:
- Significant experience in a highly technical B2B environment.
- Experience working successfully within a performance measured CRM based sales environment.
- Confidence in meeting with customers and presenting effectively with a history of closing sales.
- Sales qualification, or time served to demonstrate experience.
- Full clean driving licence for use in the UK.
