Our Client, a global market leader in energy storage technology solutions and services, are currently looking for a Quality Engineer BESS who will play a key role in directing the investigation, identification, and resolution of issues within design, specification, installation, commissioning, handover, service, warranty, and sustaining operations. This is a 1 year contract with the possibility to extend or convert to a permanent position. This is an immediate requirement and the candidate must have a valid driving licence as they will be travelling frequently to factories and project sites as required. Some travels across Europe are also expected.

Documentation and Quality Record Maintenance: Maintain quality records such as inspection reports, test data, and non-conformance logs. Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with company quality procedures and regulatory requirements for energy storage products.

Testing and Validation Support: Assist in quality testing activities for assembled battery energy storage containers, including functional testing, safety checks, wiring verification, and system-level commissioning tests. Help ensure units meet performance and reliability standards before shipment.

Serve as the front line for the quality intake systems and tasked with reducing ticket backlog and intake through the incorporation of lessons learned. Work to ensure tickets are properly assigned, prioritized, and evaluated for commercial risk. Use data analytics to review Non-Conformance Requests in the form of CAPAs, JIRAs, NCRs, and more.

Drive product development cycle decisions using quality-based business intelligence systems. Work alongside the Company Product Development and Engineering throughout the various Product Stage Gates to ensure the product delivered is complete and of high quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field required.
  • ~5-6+ years of experience in quality, engineering, or operations roles within manufacturing and/or energy sectors, with proven success supporting customer-facing project teams and collaborating across global organizations.
  • Proven experience managing quality engineering non-conformities and driving alignment across regional organizations.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing proactive quality systems, risk management frameworks, and lifecycle improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated success driving product readiness and launch scalability in partnership with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a track record of data-driven decision making tied to cost and performance outcomes.
  • Experience with supplier quality management, product lifecycle integration, and change control processes.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance for product and design changes, including compliance, validation, and risk mitigation.
  • ~5-6+ years of working in large scale (100MWpeak +) renewable energy projects or related fields.
  • Comprehensive Commercial Knowledge: strong ability to interpret legal agreements and establish a position on behalf of the regional organization.
