The predicted salary is between 28350 - 34650 £ per year.

Our Client, a leading utility-scale renewable energy development platform with a global footprint, a 20-year history, and a 15-year track record in utility-scale PV plants, plus a growing portfolio of wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, are currently looking for a Quality Inspector for an 11 months contract on a solar farm project in Staffordshire.

Start Date: 28 September 2026

End Date: 27 August 2027

Location: Penkridge, Staffordshire (ST19)

Working Hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Scope of Work / Specifications:

The project is in the construction phase. The objective is to ensure that all civil, mechanical and electrical installations strictly follow the Manufacturer’s Installation Manual and the internal construction checklists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Surveillance: Inspections of ramming, structure and modules mounting, cabling, trenching, foundations, internal roads among other tasks.
  • Adherence to Manuals: Verification of torque marks, mounting sequences, and cable management as per supplier specifications.
  • Material Traceability: Ensuring all components and materials arriving or installed on-site are correctly identified, tracked and verified.
  • Documentary Support: Assistance in the progressive compilation of the “Technical Memory” and management of checklists and ITPs.
  • Defect Reporting: Immediate identification of technical “Red Flags” to QA/QC Manager and PM to prevent rework.

Required Profile:

  • Proven experience in Large-scale Solar PV Construction, minimum 70 MW, particularly in quality-related roles.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office is mandatory.
  • Methodical mindset for site record management and material tracking.
  • Languages: English proficiency is mandatory. Spanish or German language skills will be highly valued.

Reporting Line: Direct Reporting to the Project QA/QC Manager (PQM) and the Project Manager (PM)

Requirements:

  • Vehicle: Site-ready vehicle (including insurance and fuel).
  • IT: Laptop and connectivity.
