Our Client is a global industrial turnkey constructor specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of innovative industrial plants across various sectors (Oil & Gas, nuclear, FMCG, pharma etc) and is currently looking for a Project Quality Engineer experienced in the Nuclear sector.

The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Quality Manager in:

  • Developing, reviewing, and maintaining project processes for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
  • Promoting a Right First-Time attitude and ensuring final quality of the delivery.
  • Checking the installation/manufacturing activities are acceptable to the requirements including the required NDT and dimensional checks, and its associated records.
  • Working proactively to ensure quality topics are dealt with swiftly and suggesting improvements to eliminate repetition.
  • Reporting any quality topics to the PQM.
  • Ensuring that the projects are implementing the correct procedures and following the process including ITPs.
  • Chasing and discussing open actions with the action owners.
  • Monitoring the performance status of projects through relevant indicators - Safety First, On time, On spec, On Budget, Customer satisfaction, creating KPIs to assess quality performance across the projects.
  • Understanding and exceeding customer (internal or external) needs and expectations.
  • Providing feedback to the Project team and leaders on concerns regarding Quality.
  • Managing data related to KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement, preparing performance reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Travelling to suppliers and project sites to ensure quality and process capacities are met.
  • Becoming familiar with company policies and training the team to follow guidelines.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the role.
  • Being fully aware and complying with Company policy on Equality & Diversity.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience of Project Quality Engineer:

  • BSc in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related Degree.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing or construction environment implementing quality programs.
  • Track record of implementing Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19443 Standards.
  • Knowledgeable of RCCM and any related requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of Nuclear New Build Requirements.

Position is based at Bristol and will support the manufacturing site in Hinkley Point C, Broughton and customer site to ensure quality standards are set and exceeded.
