Details of the Team

DCS Private Loan Sales is responsible for the placement of loans and other similar products to investors including corporate schuldschien and EURO PPs. DCS Private Loan Sales is in charge of distributing and sourcing loan assets for SG’s own portfolios and also the Loan Trading team. The investor base includes banks, Insurance Companies, Pension Funds, managed accounts, infrastructure and debt funds, in various sectors of the Loan market (Corporate, Commodity traders, Emerging markets, Project & Structured finance, Real Estate, Asset Finance).

Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:

  • Build and manage a portfolio of Loan investors in the EMEA region
  • Execute sell-down processes for transactions where SG is Bookrunner and support the Bank’s balance-sheet sell-down in Primary Markets
  • Provide regular feedback on investor appetites, market conditions and structures to Loan Syndication platform
  • Originate and execute secondary trades
  • Support Directors and the Team Head in the production of relevant market information, reporting requirements, data analysis and presentations

Key Responsibilities

  • To effectively identify, develop and cover a defined group of bank/institutional investors and to build and maintain a portfolio of Loan investors in EMEA
  • To develop and implement marketing plans for target investors
  • To execute sell down process for transactions where SG is Bookrunner and ensure regular syndication reports are accurate and circulated internally and externally.
  • To provide input on structure, pricing, investor selection and distribution strategy on Loans to be arranged or underwritten by SG
  • To work closely with Loan Traders to develop profitable trading strategies consistent with SG’s primary business model in terms of sectors and investor development
  • To ensure at all times that SG risk limits, Compliance and operational procedures are followed and understood with rigor.
  • To provide ad hoc support to seniors in team in the production of marketing material, reporting, analysis and regulatory processes

Profile required

  • Strong understanding of the Syndicated Loan Market and good knowledge of Capital Markets products
  • Experience in making credit investments decisions, recommendations, managing portfolios, portfolio investment decisions, credit analysis for insurance/pension funds
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Financial mathematical competency
  • Strong competency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Powerpoint
  • Experience in credit analysis and legal documentation relevant to the loan markets
  • Capacity to understand and manage risks (conduct, reputational, financial, etc.) and act responsibly in line with SG Group Values, Code of Conduct, and other applicable rules & regulations
