The IT infrastructures department, GCOO/GTE (Global Technology Engineering), is at the centre of the transformation of Société Générale’s operating model. The GBTO/COO (Chief Operating Officer of GBTO) department is responsible for assisting the GBTO department in the overall management of the GBTO Service Unit, defining its strategy and ensuring the successful execution of its transformation.
Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:
- The trainee will cover the following activities within the team:
- APPTIO: review, analyze and report on GTE TCO (total cost of ownership) on application costs
- Month end analysis: allocate correct TBS code to non-staff related costs
- Update and review of IT hardware/software maintenance contract excel database
- Monthly CME (centrally managed expenses) review by vendor & BU
Responsibilities:
- APPTIO:
- Update 2026 roadmap on APPTIO assessment
- Enhance data quality on TCO application reporting
- Learn to understand how to model potential changes to existing infrastructure
- Review the allocation methodology of Towers and TBS codes
- Liaise with GTE Proserv on a quarterly basis
- Present TCO analysis to GTS EXCO
- Review non-staff costs to ensure appropriate TBS codes have been allocated
- Liaise with GTE teams to determine if given TBS codes allocated are correct
- Post monthly journals to allocate TBS codes to costs
- Present during month end to senior management accountant analysis of TBS non-staff costs
- Review IT contract maintenance database for renewal dates
- Liaise with GTS London & Paris managers if contracts will be renewed
- Update IT contract maintenance database based on new information provided
- Present to GTS EXCO London in monthly review of GTS costs
- Monthly - extract and update CME working file costs by vendor and BU
- Monthly - update GTS CME analysis for GTS COO
- Quarterly – update CME costs for BAU presentation
- Provide support to GBTO/COO in the UK
- Contribute to the definition of the strategy of GBTO/GTE UK
- Coordination of organizational change management initiatives
- Communication – organisation of various initiatives for the department
- People engagement – contribute to definition and implementation of the strategy
- GBTO/GTE UK staff plan follow up, new joiner integration, and training strategy
- Facilitate the development, coordination, communication, and accomplishment of objectives
- Monitor and update Monthly Training, Travel and Overtime reports
- Coordinate transversal exercises / ad-hoc studies when required
Profile required:
- Degree educated within business, finance or IT related field
- Good level in English
